100 best new world/global/folk songs by Izvorišta
This year I've launched several new channels to promote Izvorišta. In addition to launching Substack, I decided to create playlists on Tidal and Spotify that focus on new world music productions. I decided on a perhaps somewhat extensive list of 100 new songs from around the world, and with this large number I wanted to show how many excellent new releases there are, with the idea of regularly updating the playlists by adding new songs and removing old ones.

Six months later, I had reached the point where exactly 200 songs had gone through the playlist. I didn't replace all the songs that were in the first version of the playlist because some deserved to stay in there longer, and almost all the songs were by different artists! This clearly shows how strong the current scene is and how challenging it is for me to compile the year-end top list of the best albums.
I will publish that list at the end of the year, and now I invite you to subscribe to one of the playlists. My preference would be for it to be Tidal, but I know more people use Spotify.
