Izvorišta 386: Lenhart Tapes, Batsükh Dorj, Of Tropique
The fantastic album "Dens" by the Serbian group Lenhart Tapes was released on Friday, November 11th, on Glitterbeat. In this edition of Izvorišta, we exclusively listened to some songs before the actual release date. Alongside this ethno-noise sensation, we also listened Tuvan throat singer Batsükha Dorj and the new EP for the Japanese group of Tropique.

Lenhart Tapes - Dens (Glitterbeat Records 2023.)
Lenhart Tapes come from Serbia, and their music is most easily described as ethno-noise. More about them can be found in the Track Tales section, where Vladimir Lenhart has shared the story behind each song from the album:
Batsükh Dorj - Ögbelerim (Music for my Ancestors) (Buda Musique 2023.)
Batsükh Dorj belongs to the younger generation of Tuvan throat singers. Regarding the international scene, he first appeared in 2017 on the compilation "An Anthology of Mongolian khöömii" released by Buda Musique, and the same record label has now released his first solo album "Ögbelerim - Music For My Ancestors." Impressive.
of Tropique - Cheech/The Sweetest Chicken Ever EP (Selfreleased 2023.)
This year's hit Japanese group is of Tropique, whose incredible music is hard to describe, so I will copy what they themselves wrote about what they play: 'The sound of the album is impossible to describe in words, it is lovely throughout, and has a playful, exotic vibe that echoes old cartoon and spaghetti Western soundtracks with a particular Afro-Caribbean flair.' Trey released beutiful album "Buster Goes West" in February, now they are back with new EP.
