Jaubi - A Sound Heart (Mushir Riaz 2024.)
Jaubi appeared in 2021 with their brilliant debut album “Nafs at Peace” and last year released “In Search For A Better Tomorrow” with the Polish group Eabs. Now they're back with a new original album entitled “A Sound Heart”, and it's hard to find a better jazz album (with or without traditional influences) at the moment.
Mari Boine - Alva (By Norse Music 2024.)
Mari Boine, the queen of Sámi joik singing, has been very active in the last two years. In 2023, her cult album “Jaskatvuoda Mann”a from 1985 was reissued, and she also released the album “Amame” with Bugge Wesseltoft, while this year she released songs from the TV programme “Hver Gang Vi Møtes”, and now a new album entitled “Alva”.
